It started with my own skin.

Arita Bains, Founder of beautyandbains™

When I moved from Cape Town to London, my skin changed, and I struggled to find skincare that understood what melanin-rich, easily irritated skin actually needs. Creating beautyandbains™ brought me back to what I grew up with: South Africa’s extraordinary botanicals and the knowledge surrounding them. I wanted to take that heritage I was so proud of and bring it into modern skincare, pairing it with cosmetic science and formulation expertise in London.
